The Beginner team is a team that is young skaters who are not ready to be a very competitive team but still want to skate. New this year,some
teams can compete in a beginner division. Still, most teams do not compete. To compete you have 8-16 team members, none of which have passed the preliminary field moves test. Team members may not cross over( skate on) any other level team. The picture on the left and below show beginner teams. On the left is the hockettes. Below is starfire beginner team. Both are competitive.

This is the first level for most skaters.




                This is the Pre- Juvenile level team. As the name, it is a team for people not quiet ready for Juvenile. Most people on this team will
be ready for a juvenile team next year or their club does not have a Juvenile team. There are different levels for pre- juvenile. Some teams are skaters not quite ready for Juvenile. These teams are normally a lower level than other teams. The team on the left ( Gems on ice) are that kind of team. They have a Juvenile team too. The team below( Hockettes) does not have a Juvenile team. You see in their program more difficult footwork and more synchronicity. Pre-Juvenile
teams have 8- 12 skaters on the ice. The team can have more but they have to be off the ice before the music starts( same as any other team). The majority of the team must be under
12 by the preceding July 1st. Programs are two and a half
 minutes.



















                   
  Preliminary is a level normally considered lower than pre-juvenile. But some of the preliminary teams are better than some pre-juvenile teams. This, like all other teams on the page, team does not go to nationals. All teams juvenile and up go to nationals. Team of  8-16 skaters. All members must be under the age of 12. The majority of the team  must be under the age of 10 by the proceeding july 1st. Programs are 2 minutes. plus or minus 10 seconds. The team on the left is the hockettes. The team below are the synchroettes.
